Lena Proctor has been out and about in July making the most of the great weather, here is her monthly report for July on what she has been up to.

July has been a great month for me, even though the ground has been so difficult for training and competing.

Firstly we had Pony Club Area 6 Eventing Finals in Rolleston Park which was so beautiful. We were part of a team of 4 for the Belvoir Pony Club in the intermediate section. After a disappointing dressage, Ted jumped a double clear, the team finishing 5th, unfortunately missing out on qualifying for Champs at Cholmondeley. Fingers crossed for next year

We then went off to Frickley BE100. I was really pleased with my dressage and Show Jumping. Ted felt wicked round the xc but towards the end of the course he fell on his nose because he caught his hoof over the first part of a combination, so I decided to circle before the second element costing a placing, but I thought that keeping his confidence for the future was definitely more important.

We’ve also just had Pony Club Camp so are both now exhausted but I had an amazing time!

I’m really excited for the rest of the season. I have a new dressage coach, Daisy Powell Dressage, who’s fab, and jumping seems to be coming together.

Couple more 100s then all being well hope to move up to Novice!!

As always my Belvoir Rug Company Honsie has been perfect keeping Ted clean, it also keeps my plaits in and makes them look better.
